God is God of the living, not the dead (Mark 12:27). Your GF is alive and well in a spiritual body (we have 2 bodys - flesh and spirit as seen in 1st Corinthians 15:40-44). Scriptures s/a Ecclesiastes 12:7 and 2nd Corinthians 5:7-8 teach us that instantly at the death of the flesh body, the spirit body returns to the Lord who gave it. Our heavenly Father is a God of love. He loves HIs children. Even the sinful malefactor on the cross beside Christ went instantly to paradise upon death of his flesh (Luke 23:39-43). Your GF is in peace. Live a good Christian life and make him proud.
