How much longer does a person have to live after the doctors say there is "nothing left we can do"?
My aunt is in the final stages of cirrhosis of the liver and is swollen almost three times her size. Her eyes are pretty much swollen shut and it seems like no matter how much blood she loses she still retains her other body fluids. The doctors told her and my family yesterday that they've done everything they could and she is going to die. They gave her the choice to die either in a hospice or at home. It's a very sad situation for my family and I understand her way of living with the bottle has resulted in these problems but I wanna know for sure how much longer she has. Will it be days or weeks longer that she has to suffer?
